Black Rider Primer
Series Overview
When Timely changed over to Atlas Comics the Black Rider series continued on as normal. After issue #18 the series featured regular backup stories starring the Two-Gun Kid until issue #23. Arrowhead took over as the backup star from issue #24 and 25. The next two issues featured Kid Colt backup stories. Issue #28 the series was renamed Western Tales of the Black Rider, a name the title kept until the end of its run. After issue #31 the series was replaced with Gunsmoke Western, a western anthology series that continued the same numbering from Black Rider.
Index Scope
Like other Atlas era books, I am skipping one-off western and text stories, and reprints. This index covers only the Atlas era issues of Black Rider. To see the Timely era issues refer back to the Timely Index.
