Matt/Kid Slade Gunfighter Primer
Series Overview
Matt Slade is yet another one of the the forgotten western heroes of the Timely/Atlas Era who was given his own series. After the first four issues the title was renamed from Matt Slade, Gunfighter to Kid Slade, Gunfighter. My guess is to probably make it sound more like other western characters with the name “Kid” that were becoming popular. Despite the change the series didn’t last long, getting cancelled after issue #8.
Is Slade part of continuity? Nothing officially says so one way or the other, but I’m going to go with my general rule that recurring characters are.
