Human Meteor
In wartorn France, the United States is preparing to invade the country in order to help free it from Nazi tyranny. As the battle rages, radio reports of heavy losses are overheard by Duke O’Dawd and his boy sidekick Toby. Both decide that they should lend a hand, Duke changes into the Human Meteor and flies himself and Toby to Europe. From there, the Human Meteor pays a visit to British intelligence to offer his assistance. At first they don’t believe who he is, but once the hero proves his identity and the British officials accept his offer of help. The Human Meteor is then sent to the English Channel to confront Nazi aircraft which is in the area. In a monumental lack of judgement, the Human Meteor brings Toby with him and the boy is struck by an enemy bullet. Landing on the ground, the Human Meteor treats Toby’s wounds and then lays into the Nazi soldiers and planes.
The Human Meteor then joins the battle with the soldiers and helps smash through the Nazi forces helping the efforts to liberate France. However, Toby’s wounds are more serious than previously thought forcing the Human Meteor to leave the scene in order to get the boy proper medical attention. However, thanks to the assistance of the Human Meteor, French resistance fighters were able to execute a traitor among their ranks. Later, once Toby is patched up, the hero flies them back to America. Returning home, Duke covers for Toby’s accident by telling his mother that the boy was injured in a car accident.
