In Queens, New York, a group of homeless people is thankful for a masked man they call the Captain brings them food. One of the homeless, a woman named Mary, asks the Captain why he is ashamed of himself and why he wears his mask. She takes off his mask, but the Captain — who is actually Peter Parker — puts it back on, telling her that he is ashamed of himself because millions of people can make a life for themselves in New York yet he cannot. One of the other homeless tells Mary not to take it personally, saying that the Captain is under a lot of pressure as their leader.

That’s when the police arrive on the scene, prompting the Captain to throw a train car between the cops and his people. He then orders them to split up and run while he deals with the authorities. However, the Captain doesn’t expect the Fantastic Four’s Thing to be there with the police. Standing his ground, the Captain tries to fight the Thing but is knocked out with a single punch. The Thing then removes the Captain’s mask and is shocked to learn that it’s Peter Parker. He knew that Peter was recently unemployed but he finds this development to be absolutely crazy.[1][2]
