At the office of Mark Mason, Mark asks his secretary Louise Grant to join him for an evening out at the opera. Arriving at the opera house, Louise overhears the owner of the theatre in a panic that their star Mme. Gina has gone missing. Louise decides to investigate at the Blonde Phantom. As she is about to enter the opera house, she overhears a woman singing on the streets. Finding her talents amazing, she brings the woman to the opera producer who puts her on as a replacement for Mme. Gina.

Believing that the danger is not over, the Blonde Phantom searches the theatre and spots a man in the catwalk attempting to drop a sand bag on the replacement singer. She gives the man chase into the basement of the theatre where she knocks him out and finds Mme. Gina tied up and gagged. Taking the man responsible to the theatre producer, he is revealed to be his former partner Enrico who was trying to ruin the production. Mme. Gina decides that her replacement should have her moment to shine and allows her to continue the performance, which is a huge success.

The following day at work, Mark once more moons over Blonde Phantom and her work the night before when he realises that Louise never showed up at the theatre. Louise pretends that she was sick, maintaining her secret identity, much to her amusement.
