Movers and Monsters

Captain America and Demolition Man are on the hunt for the Power Broker in order to learn if he was the one who gave the Super-Patriot his enhanced strength. Having just captured Doctor Malus, they force the criminal scientist to lead them to another facility. However, after breaking into the boiler room, they discover the place is deserted. Since they haven’t had anything to eat in a while, D-Man heads out to get them some food while Cap continues to question Malus. Moments after D-Man has left, the Power Brokers men — the Sweat Shop — arrive to attack Captain America. Once again, Cap finds himself fighting against an army of men with enhanced strength.

Meanwhile, back in New York, two FBI agents named Elwood and Faber arrive outside Avengers Mansion, looking for Captain Amerioca. Although the building is still under repairs after it was attacked by the Masters of Evil, the two FBI agents are able to get inside using their government identification cards.[1]

Back in LA, Captain America continues to fight for his life as D-Man returns back with their food. Catching one of the Sweat Shop goons standing guard outside, Dunphy quickly learns that they aren’t dealing with any garden variety thugs when he fails to knock the man out with a simple super-powered finger flick. Taking the guard out, D-Man then steals his truck and drives it into the front of the warehouse. In the ensuing fracas, Captain America and Malus are trapped in the boiler room and D-Man is knocked out. With the heroes dealt with, the Sweat Shop boys gather up all the Power Broker’s equipment and leave. They take D-Man as a prisoner to bring back to their boss.

Meanwhile, Captain America and Malus discover that their attackers have turned on a gas valve and they will suffocate if they don’t find an exit right away. Looking around, Captain America eventually uncovers a storm drain that will take them into the sewers. Malus is afraid to go down, explaining that some of the recipients of the Power Broker’s treatment were transformed into hideous creatures and disposed of in the sewers. Despite this, Captain America forces Malus down into the fetid waters below as it is their only way of getting out.

Back in New York, Elwood and Faber have found themselves snared by the defenses inside the mansion. They are found by Captain Marvel who quickly frees them and demands to know what they want. Unfortunately, she hasn’t seen Captain America in a while. She is told to deliver a message to Captain America that the US government wants to speak with him, leaving her to wonder if Cap is in any kind of trouble.

By this time, D-Man has been brought to the Power Broker’s office and is instantly recognized as one of the Unlimited Class wrestlers that underwent his power boosting treatment. He orders his men to take Dennis to their private facility for some tests.

While in the sewers, Captain America and Malus are ambushed by the mutated freaks disposed down there. As Malus runs for his life, one of the monsters grabs Captain America and begins trying to drown him.
