Solve Everything: Part Two

20 20 03 05 %h 52 02 yjv9k.png

Mister Fantastic has joined the Interdimensional Council of Reed on their mission to Earth-2012 to stop it from being consumed by Galactus.

The following morning, he attends breakfast with his family as though nothing happened the night before. Everyone is discussing Franklin's birthday party that day. After going over the guest list, Franklin asks if they can get Spider-Man to come to the party. This makes Johnny jealous, but Franklin insists that they invite Spider-Man. Eventually, Sue tells Ben and Johnny to leave the children so she can talk to Reed in private. Alone with her husband, Sue complains that he has been spending too much time in his lab. She gets annoyed when Reed can predict that she is going to tell him to spend less time in the lab. He smooths this over by telling Sue that while he is an expert in many fields of science, he is an expert in studying her, and asks her to give him one more week to complete his work.

Later, Reed is taken to Universe-8901 where the Council of Reeds has created a planet called "The Farm" where they are growing food to feed countless people. This entire operation is one of many planets, which impresses Reed to no end. His counterpart explains to him that their ability to make their achievements go beyond the horizon. Reed asks why his counterpart doesn't just use his Infinity Gauntlet to solve all these problems. This Reed tells him that the Gauntlet only works in its native reality. As they transport food to another dimension, the alternate Reed also points out that there is nothing wrong with getting their hands dirty. In Universe-45, another Reed takes Mister Fantastic to a battle with that realities Doctor Doom. There he witnesses as the Council of Reed incapacitates this Doctor Doom and puts a shackle around his neck that reduces this Doom to a mindless drone. Reed questions the point of this and is soon teleported to The Pit, a prison below the Council's headquarters where an army of incapacitated Doom's are being kept. The alternate Reed explains that Doom is the greatest threat in any universe. He knows because he has a little bit of Doom in him.

Another Reed takes Mister Fantastic to Universe-12498 where the pair stabilize a star, removing and containing a portion of fringe dark matter. Afterward, Mister Fantastic is asked if he wishes to join the Interdimensional Council of Reeds to help them solve everything. That night, Reed is up awake next to his sleeping wife. Unable to sleep, he gets out of bed. He thinks back to when he was a child and he was down because he realized that even though the kids in school like him, they are not like him. His father noticed this and tells Reed that he knows his son is special because he is convinced that there will be nothing Reed won't be able to accomplish.

The following day, Mister Fantastic goes back to the Council and tells them that he will join their group. No sooner have they started celebrating this an alarm begins to sound. One of the Reed discovers that someone has breached the Bridge from Universe-4280. The Reed from that universe breaks down and explains that he was forced to reveal this all. Soon the walls tear open revealing the Mad Celestials of Earth-4280.
