Double Danger!

YACReader - Jann of the Jungle V1 #14 (1956).cbz 2019-09-27 01.04.55.png

A woman posing as Jann of the Jungle goes to the Bongi tribe and convinces them that the Azuzi are preparing to go to war against them. She then swings over to the Azuzis and convinces them that the Bongi are doing the same. The impostor then returns to her cave hideout where she meets with her communist benefactor who intend to cause anarchy in Africa for the use of propaganda for their own nation and he begins to radio their progress.

This broadcast is intercepted by Pat Mahoney, alerting both he and Jann that the Azuzi and Bongi are about to go to war. Jann rushes off into the jungles to stop the conflict. When she finds the Bongi she learns that they were convinced to go to war by her. She convinces them that the conflict is over and convinces them to return to their village. She then does the same for the Azuzi and then goes off to look for the person impersonating her.

Jann comes across her imposter and her communist benefactor and knocks out the spy. Jann and her imitator then fight it out through the jungle and in the trees. During the fight the phony Jann tries to grab for what she thinks is a tree branch but turns out to be a snake. The real Jann saves her life, when they are suddenly confronted by both the Azuzi and Bongi tribes. When the phony Jann tries to convince them that the real one is an imposter, the real Jann ropes up her imitator and throws her into a nearby pond, washing out the black dye in her hair. Defeated the imposter surrenders realizing that she is no match for the real Jann of the Jungle.
