With lawmen crawling all over town, Kid Colt decides to duck into a tent show in order to lay low. The star attraction is a man named Morgan the Mystic. Unfortunately, before the show can begin someone recognizes Kid Colt. In order to escape, Kid Colt shoots the support ropes that keep the tent upright uses its collapse to cover his escape.

Eventually, Kid Colt ends up in Sagamore Territory where his presence he enters Comanche land. He is brought before Chief Tall Bear and as he is explaining that he has come in peace when Black Feather accuses him of lying and tries to shoot the Kid with an arrow. The Kid whirls around quickly and shoots the arrow out of the air. Tall Bear punishes Black Feather and then sits down with Kid Colt to discuss his presence on Comanche land. Kid Colt explains that he needs a place to hide and rest for a few days

That’s when Black Feather and other dissidents ambush Tall Bear and Kid Colt. With both men tied up, Black Feather proclaims the tribe will now be led by Warroo and they will go to war against the white man. Kid Colt learns that Warroo is an evil witch-doctor. Quick thinking, Kid Colt rolls onto a fire so it burns through the ropes keeping him tied up. He manages to get to his horse and flee from the Comanche land. Soon he comes upon a posse and tries to warn them that the Comanches are preparing for war. However, they recognize Kid Colt and begin shooting at him forcing him to flee once more.

That’s when Warroo appears in front of him and with a wave of the hand he appears to make the ground between the Kid and the chasing posse explode creating a massive chasm separating them. Warroo then claims that he can kill Kid Colt with ease but will spare his life if he joins the Comanches in their war against the white men. When Kid Colt refuses, Warroo waves his medicine stick causing Kid Colt to fall from his horse and flees, leaving Kid Colt to wonder how Warroo is pulling off these seemingly magical feats. He has encountered medicine men in the past, but none of them ever had any actual magic powers.

Still, he knows that Warroo must be stopped no matter how powerful he may be and Kid Colt rides after him. The Kid arrives at the Comanche camp just as Warroo orders Black Feather to kill Tall Bear. The Kid stops this by shooting Black Feather and then challenging Warroo to a one-on-one battle. When Warroo waves his medicine stick on the ground it causes a ring of flame to appear around Kid Colt. However, this time he is close enough to see how Warroo is pulling off his feats. Leaping at Warroo, he tells the gathered Comanches that this “witch-doctors” medicine stick is actually a means of spreading gun powder and also has a gun concealed inside. One of the Kid’s blows then shatters Warroo’s mask revealing him to be a white man. Realizing they have been deceived, the Comanches free Tall Bear and they thank Kid Colt for exposing this impostor.

The Kid pleads with the sheriff to let him stay as he hasn’t had a moment’s rest in days and he has nowhere else to stay. Taking pity on the Kid, the sheriff decides to allow him to stay as long as he promises to keep his guns drawn as long as he’s in town. The Kid promises unaware that their deal is being overheard by an outlaw named Dirk Dorgan who decides to take advantage of this situation to make a name for himself.

Losing his temper, Kid Colt has enough and tells Dirk to go for his guns. Realizing that the Kid is serious, Dorgan turns coward and begs Kid Colt to spare his life.
