Kid Colt is being chased by Sam Hawk and his posse when the chase leads to the edge of a cliff. With nowhere to run, Kid Colt surrenders and learns that Sam Hawk wasn’t even after Kid Colt initially, they were actually out hunting for King Kobra when they happened upon the Kid. Hearing this, Kid Colt warns Sam that he and his men are in danger and they won’t be able to capture King Kobra. When one of the posse tells the Kid to shut up and starts beating on him, Kid Colt is still able to defend himself even though his hands are ties. Sam Hawk breaks the two of them up and warns the man to not disobey his orders again, as this man also tried to shoot Kid Colt earlier. Kid Colt reiterates his warning saying that Kobra King has some of the most deadly gunfighters in his posse and they are holes up in a well-defended valley that is located between two mountains. Sam Hawk refuses to give up the hunt, saying he has orders from the governor to bring King Kobra in. Not wanting Hawk and his men to risk their lives, Kid Colt makes a daring escape and flees into King Kobra’s valley.

After running past the sentries, Kid Colt is roped up by King Kobra’s men. When King Kobra arrives, he declines Kid Colt’s offer to join his gang and decides to have a little fun, he orders his men to let Kid Colt loose in the valley and offers the man who kills the Kid a reward. Racing into the valley, Kid Colt ducks into the bunkhouse that serves as the gang’s hideout. There he picks off most of the gang members one-by-one. When King Kobra goes in himself, Kid Colt ambushes him. The pair fight it out and Kid Colt eventually wins the fight. He then swaps clothing with Kobra King and leads the outlaws on an attack on Sam Hawk and his posse as they cross into the valley. There, the Kid turns on the outlaws, allowing Sam Hawk and his men to capture them all, while the Kid makes his escape. When they get to the bunkhouse, Sam Hawk and his men find King Kobra in Kid Colt’s clothing tied up for them to take into custody.

Showdown at Dawn!

Sleeping in a hotel, Kid Colt is woken up when someone throws a brick through the window. He finds a note from the Crane brothers attached to it saying that they know he’s in there and challenges the Kid to come out an face them. Trying to escape, Kid Colt remembers that the back of the hotel faces a cliff and there’s no way out. Kid Colt then leaps out a window and ambushes the Crane brothers. He easily takes down all but one of the gang members. Their leader tries to run Kid Colt off the edge of a cliff, but this backfires when the gang member’s leg gets snared on a rope that is tied to the wagon. While Kid Colt leaps out of the way, the wagon rides over the edge of the cliff sending the last member of the Crane brothers falling to his death.
