The Clue of the Burning Ice

Kimberly, South Africa: The Kohinoor Mines Limited is struck by a robbery of their main building. To the security staffs surprise, it was the mine manager who stole their quarterly shipment of diamonds and escaped. Soon an all points bulletin is sent out across the world to seek out the managers capture. Several days later in Dakar, in French West Africa, a customs agent is murdered when he attempts to stop the manager from attempting to smuggle the diamonds out of the continent. Reports go out that the manager is heading for England.

At a port in Liverpool, England, the Angel is preparing to sail home after a government mission. He witnesses as a sailor is knocked overboard his ship by a shipping hook. They pull the man out of the water and find him clinging to life. Everyone assumes it is an accident but the Angel is not convinced. The dying man tells the Angel to warn Inspector Blake of the Scotland Yard about "ice" before he dies. When the Angel goes to compare notes with Blake, they find no sense from the dying mans words but deduce that he got close to the diamonds and was killed for it. The Angel decides to take on the case to find the stolen diamonds by boarding the ship under the guise of a hired sailor.

The cover does not work very well as some of the crew quickly realize that the Angel is not a sailor and begin plotting to eliminate him. As the Angel snoops around the ship he finds that he crew seem to be taking orders from the cook when he is attacked by some of the other sailors. Fighting them off the Angel flees by jumping overboard and grabbing a hold of a rope railing down the stern of the ship. With the sailors believing that he has drowned, the Angel secretly climbs back aboard the ship and hides out until the ship comes to port a few days later.

He overhears the captain of the ship and the cook discussing everyone getting a portion of his special ice cream and realizes that they are smuggling the diamonds out in containers of ice cream. As the ship pulls to port, the Angel escapes and goes to rouse the authorities. Although the crew sees that their foe is still alive they believe that he could not have possibly deduced their plan. When the Angel arrives with the authorities, he forces a box of ice cream out of one of the crew members hands and breaks it open revealing some of the stolen diamonds inside. After a brief fight, the Angel and he authorities round up the crew and arrest them for their part in the theft of the diamonds, revealing the cook as the mine manager in the process.

The Bride Who Married Death

At a posh club, the recently married Mr. and Mrs. Carson celebrate their recent marriage with some friends, attracting the attention of the Angel who takes interest in the celebrations. When Wanda the Gypsy fortune teller enters the restaurant, Mr. Carson invites her to read his new wife's fortune. Despite her insistence that she is "allergic" to fortune telling, Mrs. Carson agrees to having her fortune told and suddenly drops dead as soon as the gypsy touches her much to everyone's horror. The Angel examines the girls body and find that her wedding ring is missing and there is a small prick on her finger where it used to be.

Although a doctor pronounces the cause of death, the Angel believes that Mrs. Carson was murdered and decides to go out into the night and investigate. He first goes to the office of Wanda the Gypsy, and overhears her arguing with someone over not being aware of the scope of her involvement when she took the job. When the Angel crashes into the office he finds Wanda fatally stabbed and chases after the killer. However the killer manages to get the drop on the Angel, knocking him out with a blow to the head. Reviving sometime later, the Angel returns to Wanda's room to search for clues and hoping to find the ring.

Finding nothing, the Angel then places a call to the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce to check on the Range Mining Company owned by Mr. Carson, and its current financial standings. Learning the company was going bankrupt, the Angel then rushes off to Carson's house to search for the missing ring. Sneaking into Carson's apartment, the Angel believes that Carson is sleeping. However when the Angel finds the ring Carson pulls a gun on the hero. As they fight, the Angel learns that Carson killed his wife in order to inherit her wealth so that he could keep his business running. Defeating Carson, the Angel calls the authorities to arrest him and races off into the night.

The Day of the Great Khan

With a new teacher teaching his class, Tommy Tyme becomes instantly smitten by the new teacher and hopes he can impress her. When she asks him why Genghis Khan was unable to conquer China, Tommy sees this as the perfect opportunity to impress her and uses his Clock of the Ages to travel back to the 10th century to find out.

Appearing in China, Tommy comes to the aid of a Chinese man being roughed up by a pair of the Khan's men, sending them fleeing from shots of his slingshot. Questioning the old man why he was attacked, he explains that Genghis Khan seeks to obtain the Crown of Confucius, as whoever wears it is considered the ruler of China. He tells Tommy that the crown is buried in a sacred tomb and then dies.

Questioning some of the locals, Tommy learns the location of the tomb and arrives just as some of Genghis Khan's men enter. Finding the crown before the soldiers and when they try to take it from him by force Tommy attempts to use a football play to get past them but gets knocked out and taken prisoner.

While at the palace of Genghis Khan, one of the Khan's minions whom Tommy defeated earlier is thrown in a bottomless pit for his failure. The Crown and Tommy are brought before the Khan who orders the boy to be tossed down the pit as well. Tommy breaks free and manages to grab the crown. Seeking to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands, Tommy tosses it down the pit and dives down after it. As Tommy falls his Clock of the Ages returns him to his own time where he is able to provide the correct answer to his teacher.

The Isle of Mysterious Death

Japanese forces are mobilized to the Okaie Industrial District in Tokyo by General Kole to capture the Destroyer, who has been spotted in the area. Chased by Japanese soldiers, the Destroyer manages to fight them off but realizes he needs to find a place to hide. To his surprise, someone in one of the houses beckons him to enter. As the Japanese soldiers storm the village, they search the houses and find no trace of the Destroyer. In a house owned by an old woman, she convinces the Japanese soldiers that the Destroyer is not in her home while the Destroyer hides beneath the floor. With the soldiers gone, the old woman introduces herself to the Destroyer as Mother Ting and leads him down a secret passage where a number of Chinese resistance fighters have gathered to fight the Japanese in hopes of liberating their home.

There the Destroyer learns that they are plotting to attack a large naval fleet set to head out into the pacific and fight Allied Forces there. The Destroyer suggests that they steal gun powder from the Yuanie Arsenal which has enough firepower to destroy the fleet.

With the Chinese resistance fighters disguised as Japanese soldiers, they gain access to the Yuanie Arsenal by pretending to have captured the Destroyer to be brought before General Kole. However when they are brought before Kole, he sees through the disguise. In the resulting fire fight, the Destroyer and his allies manage to flee into the ammunition stores of the facility and takes the explosives they need. While the resistance fighters load up a boat with the explosives, the Destroyer keeps the Japanese soldiers busy and then blows them up by tossing a box of TNT at them. Meanwhile the resistance fighters manage to get their ship close enough to the Japanese fleet to detonate their explosives and destroy the ships while they watch the destruction from the mainland.
