Shang Chi has discovered that Ai Apaec, the spider-god, has been the one responsible for manipulating the Bride of Nine Spiders. Infected with the spider-plague, Shang has grown four extra arms and now stands side-by-side with Iron Fist ready to battle the creature responsible for capturing the Immortal Weapons.

As Shang Chi faces off against Ai Apaec, he orders Iron Fist to go and free the other Immortal Weapons. Although Ai Apaec is incredibly agile despite his massive form, he is at a distinct disadvantage in the confined spaces of the abandoned mansion he has made his home. Shang Chi decides to use this to his advantage, but their battle has knocked over the candles used to light the abandoned building, turning it into a blazing inferno in mere moments. As Shang Chi continues to lose his humanity he fights onward, positioning Ai Apaec over the fire weakened floor. The god’s tremendous weight causes him to fall through to the floor below. Shang Chi leaps down and continues the battle and is soon joined by the Immortal Weapons. Their combined might quickly overpower Ai Apaec.

However, Shang Chi suddenly begins to fall under the influence of the Queen and begins fighting the urge to become one of her loyal spiders. Seeing his friend in agony, Iron Fist uses his healing touch. This helps Shang Chi’s internal struggle against the spider within and ultimately the man wins. Shang Chi reverts back to human form just as Ai Apaec fights off the other Immortal Warriors. With renewed confidence, Shang Chi orders the Immortal Weapons to leave and help contain the spider-plague raging outside while he deals with Ai Apaec.

Alone against his foe, Shang Chi proves the superior fighter by leaping around the room and kicking out the support beams of the mansion causing the burning building to collapse on them both. Once the rubble has settled only Shang Chi emerges from the wreckage.

Shang Chi then returns to Union Square where he tells Madame Web everything that has happened. Now that he is free from the spider-plague, he decides to return to the battle to repay Iron Fist for curing him. He joins the Immortal Weapons as they defend the city from its citizens who have transformed into massive spiders. Fighting side-by-side with his friends Shang Chi thinks over his trails and tribulations of the past few days and is proud that he has once again proven that he is the Master of Kung Fu.
