Ana Kravinoff has found her father’s journal in her mother’s penthouse. Opening it up, she finds the first entry he ever wrote on his long time foe, Spider-Man. She thinks about how these are the words of her father, a man she never met, and reads them all very carefully.[1]

When she reads about how her father always studies his prey before attacking, she decides to do the very same thing with Spider-Man. She starts watching Spider-Man around the time he battled Blue Shield and Jackpot.[2] Her father’s advice is good advice and she will live by it.

What follows is a reprint of Amazing Spider-Man #15 and 34.

Ana Kravinoff continues to watch her foe make fools out of Blue Shield and Jackpot when suddenly, Menace flies by. Spider-Man ditches the pair to keep on following after the villain. Ana recalls how her father underestimated Spider-Man. She decides not to repeat that same mistake and vows to continue watching Spider-Man until she is ready to strike.[3]
