The Black Rider’s Justice

Since water is scarce on the Lathrop ranch, Bobby pays a visit to Mister Osborn a nearby rancher. Osborn agrees to give the Lathrops the water they need until their situation is sorted out. Unfortunately, just as Bobby is leaving someone shoots Mister Osborn in the back. When news about Jack Osborn’s murder reaches town it prompts Matthew Masters to investigate as the shooting. Examining the bullet he discovers that it was fired with a gun that has a defective firing pin. When Jack’s brother Red is kicked in the head by a horse, Masters deduces that the killer is involved in the local rodeo. Changing into the Black Rider, Masters rides a wild bronco in order to get close to the killer and catch him, who was attempting to get ahold of the Osborn water supply and gouge the Lathrops. With the killer caught the Black Rider gives the prize money to the Lathrops so they can pay for the water they need.
