At Last — Disclosure!
Odin if overseeing the Asgard’s reconstruction and is satisfied with the progress.[1] Odin’s thoughts are interrupted by Tarakis, his new Grand Vizier, who comes to advise him of developments on Earth at require his immediate attention.[2] Looking to Midgard, Odin is surprised to see that Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, is imbedded in the side of a building. In order to protect it until Thor can recover it, the All-Father summons the Warriors Three and sends them to Earth. After the trio have been teleported away, Tarakis gives Odin a potion to help restore his strength.
Meanwhile, Thor is stuck at New York’s Memorial Hospital in his mortal form of Jake Olson. He is concerned about Enrakt one of the Enchanters who is seeking to avenge his defeated brother. Recalling his past encounter with Magnir, Forsung, and Brona, Thor recalls how they had incredible magical powers and could seize control of Mjolnir. It took Odin destroying Forsung before he could banish Magnir and Brona to the Lost Limbo of Infinity Unending.[3] He needs to recover Mjolnir to stop the Enchanters but he’s being sequestered in the hospital because the police have a warrant for Jake Olson’s arrest for drug trafficking.[4]
That’s when he is visited by Hannah Fairmont, the woman that Jake Olson was engaged to marry before Thor took over his life. She can’t believe that he has been accused of stealing drugs from the hospital to sell on the street. “Jake” assures her that he is innocent of any wrong doing. This is overheard by Detective Brady O’Neil as he enters the room and calls him a liar. Through his investigation he has acquired enough evidence to put “Olson” away for a long time. Both “Jake” and Hannah refuse to believe anything he is say. However, O’Neil had a man working undercover and calls him into the room. As it turns out, Demitirus Collins — “Jake’s EMT partner — is actually a cop and he gathered all the evidence needed to arrest “Jake”. Hannah can’t believe that Collins would betray their trust like this and slaps him across the face. Demitrius insists that “Jake” is guilty and he has somehow took advantage of her position at the hospital to steal drugs and she’s know the truth if she could only see it. Unable to make up her mind, Fairmont storms out of the room. Moments later, Jane Foster comes barging in telling O’Neil and Collins that they don’t have her permission to interrogate her patient.
After kicking them out, Jane asks Thor how he is doing. He admits that things are bad as, even though he is innocent of the crimes he is being charged with, he can’t be sure that Jake Olson is guilty or not. He admits that he just assumed that Jake was a noble man when he was forced to take over his life. Needing to get out and reclaim Mjolnir so he can deal with the threat posed by the Enchanters, Thor asks Jane for help getting out.
By this time, Mjolnir has generated a crowd of people all trying to pull the hammer out of the wall it is embedded in. That’s when the Warriors Three teleport onto the scene and tell everyone to stand away from Thor’s hammer. As they approach the enchanted weapon, Enrakt emerges from the weapon once again and warns the trio that their end is near.
At that same moment, in Asgard, Odin is awoken from his sleep by Brona and Magnir who have come for revenge. Before Odin can react they unleash their magic upon him.
While back at the hospital, Detective O’Neil returns to “Jake Olson’s” room to check in on him. The officer posted outside his door says that the only people who have been in and out have been Doctor Foster and her husband Doctor Keith Kincaid. Brady is furious since Kincaid was not cleared to enter the room and when he goes inside he sees that “Jake Olson” has escaped. Running outside, he spots Foster and “Olson” fleeing the hospital and orders them to stop. When they don’t, O’Neil informs them that he is authorized to use lethal force and opens fire.

Continuity Notes
Asgard was left in ruins after the WorldEngine faked Ragnarok in Thor #491-494. It got worse after the Asgardians were captured by the Dark Gods in Journey into Mystery #513. Thor liberated his people in Thor (vol. 2) #10-12, the kingdom’s reconstruction began in the following issue.
What happened to Odin’s previous and long standing Vizier (last seen in Journey into Mystery #513) is never explained as of this writing in June, 2022. He has appeared in a flashback story in Thor (vol. 6) #25. What Odin doesn’t know is that Tarakis is secretly working for a Thanosi clone. See Thor (vol. 2) #21 and Infinity Abyss #3.
The whole situation with the Enchanters is somewhat complicated:
The original trio attacked Asgard in Thor #143-145. This battle ended with Forsung being slain by Odin and Magnir and Brona being banished to the Lost Limbo.
Enrakt attacked Thor last issue, next issue it is revealed that he took possession of Mjolnir in secret in Thor Annual 1999 and was the reason why Mjolnir has been disobeying Thor’s commands since Thor (vol. 2) #3.
An investigating into missing drugs at the hospital began in Thor (vol. 2) #5. The police got the warrant to arrest Jake Olson was made last issue. As we’ll learn later this issue, the real Jake Olson was responsible for the thefts before he was killed and Thor took over his life in Thor (vol. 2) #1-2.
