Two-Gun Kid has ridden into gun town to meet with a man known as Uncle Billy at Blair House and finds the locals none to welcoming as he arrives on a rainy day when a man tries to kick his horse Cyclone, the Kid then forces the location from the man. At Blair House, a tavern, the Two-Gun Kid is directed to Frank Case, Uncle Billy's nephew who tells the Two-Gun Kid that Uncle Billy was murdered by the local nesters, apparently the trouble that Uncle Billy wrote for the Kid to come and help solve. Frank explains that the nesters have been stealing Case land and the law won't touch them because it's open range. Believing this story, the Two-Gun Kid agrees to be hired on as a ranch hand to handle the nester problem.

As the storm clears, the Kid is taken to the Case ranch and Frank tells him that the old ranch hands all left and he was forced to hire whoever he could. When introductions are made, one of the hands balks at taking orders from the Two-Gun Kid. The Kid knocks the man out and then disarms the other ranch hands when they try to draw on him, whipping them in line.

As the Kid and Frank palaver inside, the Kid suddenly hears the ranch hands mount up and leave, Frank suggests they went into town to go eat and sends the Kid to get them back. However when the Two-Gun Kid arrives in town the sheriff and his posse are waiting for him and accuse the Kid ordering the Case ranch hands to wipe out the nesters and arrests him. When Frank Case arrives at the jail, he claims that Two-Gun was going against his orders. As a lynch mob forms outside, some of the surviving nesters arrive at the Kid's cell window and explain that they believe that the Two-Gun Kid was not responsible, telling him that Uncle Billy was a friend of the nesters and invited them to take some of his land and that Frank was the real killer in order to steal his uncle's land.

With their horses the nesters pull the bars off the Kid's windows and the Kid mounts his horse Cyclone. Tracking down Frank and his gang he mows the gang down and then easily disarms Frank and forces him to confess to the sheriff, clearing the Two-Gun Kid's name.

Two-Gun Kid

The Two-Gun Kid rides into the town of Taos, New Mexico where he is spotted by some men who think he is the man their boss has hired. Stopping inside the local saloon, the bartender talks about how the area could use rain as it would help both the Martel and Torrero ranches, and notes that Martel also owns the local bank as well. The Kid leaves finding the entire conversation strange when the two men suddenly approach him as he approaches the local inn to get a room for the night. The men take him to the window and show him that Whit Martel is currently discussing business with Esteban Terrero. Thinking the Kid is an outlaw named Utah Nash, they tell him that their boss, Martel, has hired him to kill Terrero. When the Kid tells them that he isn't Utah, they blind side him and beat him senseless. They drag Two-Gun into an alley to finish him off but they are sent packing when Esteban's son Carlos comes to his aid.

The Kid blacks out but when he comes around he finds himself in the Torrero home where his rescue is explained. Esteban explains that Whit Martel wants his ranch and when comparing notes they realize Whit is willing to commit murder to do it. Wanting revenge against the men who beat him, the Two-Gun Kid is led to the Martel ranch by Carlos where he interrupts their dinner to return the beating he endured at their hands. He beats up all the hands and he and Carlos then part company.

The Two-Gun Kid however goes and waits at the inn for Whit and his men and Utah to meet and plan their attack. He is surprised when Carlos comes to lend a hand, but unwilling to let the boy risk his life, the Kid knocks him out. Utah Nash has just arrived and is tying up his horse as the Two-Gun Kid arrives. The Kid then approaches him and tricks him into thinking that Whit Martel is the man he has been hired to kill. The two burst in with guns blazing and wipe out Martel and his gang, and Utah Nash is fatally shot during the gun fight as well. With Martel and his gang out of the way, the Two-Gun Kid rides off into the night.
