YACReader - Two-Gun Kid V1 #55 (1960).cbz 2019-08-12 23.45.05.png

At a local saloon in the town of Tombstone the Two-Gun Kid is challenged by Natchez Krull who wants to make a reputation for himself by outdrawing the Two-Gun Kid. The Kid refuses and orders a glass of milk from the bar. Natchez pushes the subject, but the Kid continues to refuse. Natchez then tries to fight the Kid, causing the milk to spill on the floor. Furious at being provoked, the Two-Gun Kid decides to draw against Krull, however the milk on the floor causes the Kid to slip, making it look like the Two-Gun Kid was slower at the draw. Natchez takes a shot and wounds the Kid's arm. Natchez then shoves the Kid out of the saloon, warning him that he will be killed if he shows his face in town again. The Kid decides to ride out of town but intends on beating Krull in a gunfight once his arm heals.

About a week later, Natchez now has control over the whole town and orders people to get off the street. When he spots an old man who apparently didn't hear him he goes to hassle the old man. However it turns out to not be an old man at all, but the Two-Gun Kid in disguise. The Kid explains that he hid out in town until his arm healed and them challenges Natchez Krull to a duel. Two-Gun proves to be the faster draw this time around and shoots the guns out of Natchez's hands and the hat off his head. Natchez then begs for his life and promises to renounce using a gun. The Kid then sends him out of town, telling him that word of his defeat will spread.

The Deadly Dude!

The Two-Gun Kid is riding past an mine and witnesses it's owners being hassled by a gang of men. The Kid roughs up the gang and they ends up packing when they spot the sheriff and his men coming to the scene. When the sheriff asks what is going on, the mine owner -- named Torpey -- tells them nothing was going on, and later explains to the Kid that he cannot say anything to the law because Butler brothers have threatened to harm his wife and children if he talks. After the law leaves, Torpey tells the Two-Gun Kid that the Butler brothers have been trying to force mine owners to sell off their mines.

Deciding to get involved, the Two-Gun Kid purchases a mine and disguises himself as a non-threatening miner. The Kid is soon visited by the Butler Brothers and their men, and they demand that the Kid give up his mine. Two-Gun stands up for himself, and fights the Butlers into submission after doffing his disguise. With the Butler's defeated, the Two-Gun Kid then turns them over to the law.
