The Incredible Hulk

Bruce Banner is let off in a forest after some hitchhiking and as he walks through the wilderness he spots a strange alien ship land and goes to investigate it. He witnesses the arrival of members of the Quarrn race. Banner overhears their plans to take over the Earth but is spotted and taken prisoner.

Taken aboard the Quarrn ship, it flies off into space and there Banner learns that these are not invaders from another planet, but another dimension entirely. Learning of their plans to take over the Earth, Banner gets excited enough to transform into the Hulk and break free from his bonds.

The Black Knight

Merlyn know of a means of resurrecting Captain Britain. Finding a place to set up camp, Merlyn enters a trance. With his master vulnerable, the Black Knight stands guard, sending his Elven allies to gather wood for the fire. However, the Elves run afoul of Wood Trolls who easily bind them in their branches.

Meanwhile, in the realm between life and death, Merlyn finds the spirit of Captain Britain flowing down a river toward the jaws of death. He has only moments to pull the spirit free in order to resurrect his ally. While in Otherworld, the Black Knight is attacked by the Wood Trolls.

Continuity Notes

  • Although Captain Britain appears to be dead here, he is resurrected in Hulk Comic #29.
