The Black Knight
Leaping to the defence of Merlyn, the Black Knight tries to strike down Mordred with the sword Excalibur. However, the weapon has no effect as Mordred has marshalled adequate defence against the enchanted weapon. While Mordred is preoccupied, Merlyn casts a spell to try and prevent Captain Britain from dying after the hero was mortally wounded.
By this time, Mordred has used his magical powers to transform some trees into living creatures to attack the Black Knight. With danger all around, Merlyn tries to mystically transport Captain Britain elsewhere. However, Mordred sees this and strikes Merlyn wit a mystical bolt. This is enough to finally awaken Captain Britain from his near death state. Furious, Mordred tries to strike the Captain down with another mystical bolt. However, the Black Knight tosses Excalibur between the pair.
When the mystical bolt strikes the sword it reflects the power back toward its master consuming Mordred in a massive implosion.
