After being fitted with a cybernetic collar, Patricia Roberston finds herself alone against the symbiote that she been hunting across the Canadian Arctic after it has taken possession of Wolverine.[1] However, before the creature can attack her it is blasted by a ship piloted by two cyborgs named Vic and Frankie. They are identical to two other cyborgs of the same name that were created to take possession of the symbiote. Firing a web line at the ship, the symbiote then attacks the vessel, making it crash. Programmed to take possession of the symbiote, as their cybernetic collars will allow them to control the monster, the pair put on suits of battle armor and look forward to capturing the monster. However, Vic admits that she hopes that her twin sister Frankie is the one who gets to possess the symbiote. While the two are distracted, Frankie is snatched by the creature. However, when she begs the symbiote to take possession of her, the alien tells her that she doesn’t need her and uses Wolverine’s claws to kill the cyborg.

Searching for her sister, Vic thinks she has found her body but is confused when she discovers this dead body looks exactly like her. When her masters tell her to ignore what she has seen, Vic realizes that she and her sister are not special like they said and that they weren’t the only ones who were made for this job. When she demands answers, her employers refuse to give her any and tell her to focus on the task at hand. However, Vic has other ideas now that her entire life has been exposed as a lie and puts a gun to her head and pulls the trigger.

Meanwhile, Patricia has put on a suit of combat armor and is getting some bombs to fight the creature when the man in black, who is still undergoing repairs after being sliced into pieces by Wolverine, tells her to take his weaponized cell phone instead as it is a more suitable weapon to use against the symbiote. The man in black begins instructing her on how to set the device to detonate when she is ambushed by the symbiote, which is still wearing Wolverine as a host body. As the symbiote tries to smother Patricia in its body mass, she manages to arm the device and the resulting electric blast manages to free Wolverine from its control and seemingly slays the symbiote. However, Wolverine passes out after his ordeal.

In the aftermath of the battle, Patricia carries the remains on the man in black outside of the alien ship. He tells her that he had to install the cybernetic control collar on her in order to prevent the symbiote from taking possession of her body, explaining that the collar would allow her to control the monster. When he tells her that it can now be removed, Patricia tells him it has to say, revealing that the symbiote has bonded to her. After destroying the man in black, she knows that the collar is the only thing that will allow her to stop the symbiote once and for all. After Patricia has flex the scene, Wolverine wakes up and realizes what happened and decides to head to the nearest bar to see what sort of excitement he’ll find there.

Eighteen days later, Patricia arrives at a bus station in Buffalo, New York, and calls an old high school friend to send a message to her mother and tell her that she is fine. When he tells her how the FBI have been looking for her, Patricia tells him that they aren’t the FBI and to not lie to them if they come back and end the call. The call is picked up by the newest Vic and Frankie who report this back to their master. At that moment, Vic and Frankie’s boss is looking out of his office window in New York City. Seeing Spider-Man swing by, he is glad that this can all finally come to an end.
