Having fully recovered after having a bomb dropped on him, Wolverine wakes up intending to get revenge on the two cyborgs who tried to kill him. These cyborgs, named Frankie and Vic, are hunting a mysterious symbiote that has been on the loose in order to bond with it as their cybernetic enhancements will allow them to take control of the monster which has been hopping from host to host since escaping from a facility owned by the Ararat Corporation in the Arctic Circle. As the pair follow after the symbiote in their ship, they prepare two mech suits to attack the monster. As they are about to leave the ship, they decide to deal with their prisoner — a US Army radio operator named Patricia Robertson — when they have completed their mission. After their ship lands, the pair exit out the airlock to await the arrival of their prey. While back in town, Wolverine finally gets to his feet and after picking up Vic and Frankie’s scent, hopes the women have a bigger bomb next time if they think they’re going to stop him.

By this time, the two cyborgs have tracked the symbiote to the ruins of an old house. When they attempt to get access to the cellar, they are ambushed by the symbiote which has taken possession of a number of cockroaches in order to get the element of surprise.[1] As the symbiote pummels Frankie, Vic flees the scene and calls for reinforcements. As she retreats back to her ship, Vic is incapacitated by the mysterious man in black who has also been hunting the symbiote. Entering the cyborg’s ship, the man in black discovers that Patricia is still alive, complicating matters. He tells her to wait a moment and goes back outside where he removes the control collar that would allow Vic to control the symbiote if it took possession of her body.

By this time, Wolverine has tracked the scene to the home and finds a number of dead cockroaches. He is confused by the sight leaving him open to ambush from the symbiote as it triest o bond with him. Back aboard the ship, Patricia wakes up after being knocked out yet again and asks what happened. The man in black explains that he has come up with a new plan to stop the symbiote by eliminating all possible hosts, however, he had decided that he also did not want to kill Patricia. When she asks what he did to her, she pulls down the hood of her parka and discovers that she has been fitted with the cybernetic collar that was once worn by Vic. Furious that he would implant something into her body without permission, Patricia pushes the man in black up against the wall of the ship. That’s when the symbiote — having taken possession of Wolverine’s body — cuts through the wall, slicing the mystery man into pieces. The symbiote then enters the ship, telling Patricia that it likes her new look and asks if she likes its own new look.

As the symbiote is about to attack Patricia, another ship arrives, piloted by identical women who also call themselves Vic and Frankie. The pair reminds themselves that they have been training for this for their entire lives as they plot a course to face the symbiote.
